Registered Nurse (Casual)
Location: Lismore, NSW
Employment Type: Casual (Aged Care Agency – Flexible Shifts)
About the Role
We are seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses to work casual agency shifts across residential aged care facilities in Lismore and surrounding areas. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care in accordance with AHPRA standards and best practice

Conduct comprehensive resident assessments and develop, implement, and review care plans

Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately

Perform clinical documentation and progress notes

Monitor residents’ health status and respond to clinical changes and emergencies

Liaise with General Practitioners, allied health professionals, residents, and families
-
Supervise and support Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Workers
-
Ensure compliance with aged care standards, policies, and procedures
-
Contribute to a safe, respectful, and person-centred care environment
Essential Requirements

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)

Minimum 6 months post-registration experience, preferably in aged care

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain

Current National Police Check

Evidence of up-to-date COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations (as per facility requirements)

Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

Excellent communication, documentation, and time-management skills

Ability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekends
Desirable
-
Previous agency or residential aged care experience

Experience with medication management and wound care
-
Current First Aid and CPR certification
-
Reliable transport
